Weed Cutting
Several times throughout the year weed is cut on the River Itchen, this work is essential to maintain proper flows throughout the river and to permit fishing. We continue to offer fishing dates during the weed cut however we cannot guarantee the condition of the river, weed and silt displaced from upstream could make for challenging fishing but at the same time it often displaces a lot of food creating new opportunities. If we experience heavy weed growth it may become necessary for us to cancel bookings, if this happens you'll be offered a refund or an alternative date.
